EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Let’s Walk Uganda (LWU) provides emergency response services to sexual minorities and key populations in Uganda facing immediate threats to their safety and well-being. This includes emergency relocation for those at risk of harm or persecution, ensuring they are placed in safe environments where they can access support and protection. LWU also offers food and nutrition support to address immediate needs during crises, ensuring individuals have access to essential sustenance. Additionally, LWU provides emergency medical support, facilitating access to urgent healthcare services for sexual minorities in critical situations. Through its emergency response initiatives, LWU strives to safeguard the lives and well-being of key populations in Uganda during times of crisis.
Practical Skills Training
Conducting workshops, seminars, and outreach programs to raise awareness about the health issues facing sexual minorities and key populations, including sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and mental health.
Specialized Youth Services
Developing programs specifically designed to address the needs of sexual minority youth, including mentorship, educational support, leadership development, and peer support networks.
Physical & Digital Security Training
Offering training programs to help sexual minorities and key populations protect themselves physically and digitally, addressing safety concerns both in the physical world and online.
Organisation Dialogues for Stakeholders
Facilitating conversations and engagement between sexual minority community members, government officials, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other relevant stakeholders to promote understanding, tolerance, and collaboration.
